Día de los Muertos!!!

In honor of Day of the Dead, I drew my dad. He loved coffee

And he loved to cook

My Dad loved to make toasts

he loved family gatherings and dinners and always loved to make a toast for the occasion

My Dad loved Boats

we never had a boat but we did have an inflatable raft

and some of my favorite times as a kid was going down the Russian River with my dad at the oars

My Dad Was Mr. Cool

he was my definition of cool as a kid

My Dad loved the sun

his idea of a vacation was laying out in the sun all day

My Dad taught me how to tie a tie

my dad hated suits and especially ties; he only wore them at weddings and when he had to

but he did teach me how to tie a tie and how to wear a suit (never button the bottom button)

My Dad Taught me how to cook

the kitchen was my dad's domain

he was a wonderful cook and loved to cook for large groups or just whip something up for dinner

My Dad loved the Water

some of my fondest memories of my Dad from when I was a kid are playing with him in the pool

MY DAD

my dad Patrick O'Keefe passed away last night in his sleep

he was a wonderful man and i am very sorry to see him go

I will miss his sense of humor and his kind heart
